Portrait Session pricing & Payment

Session Types.  We have a variety of session options to fit most needs and budgets.  You can choose between in-studio, on-location or both.  The prices varies by the location, number of subjects, availability and how much time you need.  If you're unsure, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We're here to make your professional portrait experience unforgettable!  Feel free to bring another family or friends with you to split the cost of the session (for multi-subject sessions).

Payment Options.  We accept all major credit cards, cash, checks or money orders.  Returned checks will result in a $20 processing fee.  If you'd like to place your order but hold off on the payment for a future date for whatever reason, just let us know in the notes.  We'll have the order ready and when we get the go ahead, we'll send it to the lab for printing.

Payment for the session is due at the time of the sitting (in most cases).

NEW:  Payment Plans

By request, we have begun accepting payment plans for order of $300 or more (post-discounts, pre-tax, pre-shipping).  Once your order is placed, a 50% deposit is required.  Then 25% of the balance will be charged to your credit card the next two months on the date of your choice.  There is a $10 processing fee for payment plan setup.  For orders of $500 or more, you can pay the remaining balance (after the 50% deposit) at 10% until the order is paid.  The processing fee is $25.  If you want to pay your balance off by check, we require a credit card to keep on file (which will not be billed unless you stop making payments, as agreed).

Print pricing & Payment

We never have a minimum order that you must place for your session or wedding.  You can choose individual prints or packages - whatever fits your needs.

Payment for prints is due before we send the order to the lab.  You can pay using a credit card online during the checkout process or mail a check.  If you change your mind and switch from check to credit card, you can make your credit card payment online at www.slrange.com/cc.asp at your convenience.

Tips for Choosing Print Sizes

Be sure you have a frame picked out and know your portrait size before ordering.

Viewing & Ordering

Viewing & Ordering Images While Your Session is Online

When will my images be posted? Portrait sessions are typically posted online within one week.   Images can be found by going to the shoots link at the top of the website then find the family or event name and select the link.  Not all images taken during the photo session will be posted... Images with eyes partially closed, etc. are deleted.

How long with my images be posted? Portrait sessions/weddings will be posted online for 7/30 days respectively.   Please print each page of your thumbnail images (link will be sent via email) for future reference and ordering.  If you order while images are still online, you will receive the discounted pricing listed during online ordering.

Can I keep my portraits online longer and keep the discounted pricing and packages? You may extend your session online (and thus, the discounted pricing) for a minimal fee (amount depends on the session type and length of time extended).

Can I get my images reposted and still get the discount? If portraits are removed, you may repost your images for an additional cost  (amount depends on the length extended).  However, discounted pricing or packages will not be honored.

Ordering Prints Online After Session is Removed From Website

Once your session is removed from the website, regular pricing will apply.  Order images from sessions already offline.

Be sure to enter the portrait session name, approximate date and any other pertinent details in the Additional Information block during the checkout process.  Failure to enter this information may result in a significant delay to your order.

Ordering Prints via Email After Session is Removed From Website

If you can not order image online, you can order them via email for an additional $5 processing fee.  Regular pricing will apply.  To place an order via email, send an email to slrange@sbcglobal.net with the following information:

• Session subject

• Image number

• Size of image

• Quantity

• Any special instructions such as cropping, converted to B&W (no charge), etc.

You can mail a check or money order to Shannon Range Photography, 207 E Spring St, Yorkville, IL 60560 or pay via credit card once you know the invoice total by going to www.slrange.com/cc.asp.  Returned checks will result in a $20 processing fee. 

When are orders sent to the lab?

Orders are sent to the lab every Monday.  Deadline for orders placed on Monday is Sunday at 6pm (orders must be paid in full at that time).  

Can I place an order in a couple months?

Yes, orders can be placed at anytime at regular prices.  Portraits are kept on file for years.  Pricing is according to the pricing structure at the time of ordering.

How long will it take to get my portraits back?

Once the order is sent to the lab, orders are typically back at the studio and ready for pickup or shipping 10 days later.

Print Finish / Appearance

All portraits come in pearl finish (in between glossy and matte but closer to matte).
